Day 1: Arrive Dubai

We arrive in Dubai, a cosmopolitan metropolis that has grown steadily to become a global city and a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.

Day 2: Old & New Dubai, Dhow Cruise

This morning we sample the historic sites and vibrant cosmopolitan life of Dubai. The tour starts with a photo-stop at the world famous landmark, Burj Al Arab (artificial island). Proceed to Jumeirah, the picturesque water front palace and residential area of Dubai, also home to the famous Jumeirah Mosque. The tour continues to Al Bastakiya, the old part of Dubai, to reach the museum located in Al Fahidi Fort. The museum presents the traditional way of life in the Emirate of Dubai. It includes local antiquities as well as artifacts from African and Asian countries that traded with Dubai. This afternoon we board the Abra (water taxi) to cross the Creek with time to explore the spice souk and then time to shop in the most famous landmark of Dubai – the gold souk. For a delightful relaxing time, we join the traditional Arabian dhow for an evening’s cruise on the Creek. Enjoy a sumptuous feast of Arabic and International cuisine while gently gliding past illuminated souks, banks and palaces.

Day 3: Dubai Mall, Aquarium, Desert Safari

We begin the day late this morning with a visit to what is claimed to be the most amazing mall to be found anywhere. Included within this gigantic shopping coplex is one of the largest and best displayed Aquariums in the world as well as an indoor ski slope. This tour departs in the afternoon across the desert with photo-stops during an exciting dune drive and visit the camel farm. The drive continues across the desert. Watch the beautiful sunset in the desert. Reach our campsite, where you have the opportunity to do camel riding, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hands or feet. After working up an appetite enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner. Following dinner, lights will be turned off to view the magnificent starlight scene before we return to the hotel.

Day 4: Abu Dabhi

Today we discover the highlights of Abu Dhabi, capital of the Emirates, known as the Arabian Jewel. Jebel Ali Port, the biggest man-made port in the world is one of the landmarks that we pass on the way to Abu Dhabi. On arrival, the first destination is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. We then continue to visit the Sheikh Zayed Centre to get a glimpse into the private life of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, who is often referred as “The Father of the UAE”. Our final stop is the Heritage Village where we journey to the past to explore the life before oil was discovered. On our return, we drive along the beautiful Corniche, an impressive eight kilometres of manicured waterfront that includes parks, cycle and pedestrian pathways, cafés and restaurants, and the beautiful Corniche Beach. Dress Code: Loose long trousers or long skirts & long sleeves. No shorts for men, no tight & transparent clothing. Women must cover their head with a scarf.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast at the hotel we will go to the Dudai Airport for our flight homeward.
