Price Includes: 11 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 7 dinners, hotels, baggage handling (1 bag per person), admissions, all sightseeing as per itinerary.


Not Included: Airfare, gratuities to guides and bus driver, cancellation insurance.


Airport transfers are included only when airfare is purchased from Pilgrim Tours. Taxi service is available for those purchasing their airfare elsewhere.


Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.

Day 1: Overnight in Boston Area

Fly or drive to Boston where we will meet the tour host and the rest of the group at our hotel for the evening welcome dinner. (D)


Day 2: Portland Head Lighthouse, Bar Harbor

Following the coast northward, we make a mid-morning stop at Portland Head Lighthouse, the place for a perfect picture. Continuing on through Maine countryside we arrive at our destination for the afternoon and evening in charming Bar Harbor, Maine. The remainder of the day is free to explore and have dinner on your own. (B, L)


Day 3: Acadia National Park, Reversing Falls

We begin the day with a guided panoramic drive in Acadia National Park to Cadillac Mountain with exceptional cliff-top views of the seacoast. Our adventure continues northward to our highlight for the afternoon, the Reversing Falls in St. John, New Brunswick. Our lodging and dinner will be in St. John. (B, D)


Day 4: Flower Pot Rocks, Prince Edward Island, Anne of Green Gables

The morning sights will include the fascinating tidal scene at the “Flower Pot Rocks” along the Bay of Fundy. We stop for lunch in Moncton before continuing on to Prince Edward Island and a visit to the Bottle Houses. After checking in to our hotel in Charlottetown (2 nights) and having dinner, we are off to a performance of “Anne of Green Gables”. (B, D)


Day 5: Green Gables & Museum, Carriage Ride

Today we tour the famous Green Gables House near Cavandish in the Prince Edward National Park. This afternoon we spend time at the Anne of Green Gables Museum and Gardens, concluding with a carriage ride with Matthew. Dinner and overnight will be in Charlottetown. (B, L)


Day 6: Alexander Graham Bell Museum, Baddeck

This morning we sightsee through P. E. I. farmland to the ferry from Prince Edward Island to Nova Scotia and continue on to the beautiful area of the Bras d’Or Lake in Baddeck on Cape Breton Island. The highlight this afternoon is a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Park commemorating the genius of the inventor. Exhibits show his many achievements and inventions using artifacts, photos and videos. The site overlooks Bell’s summer home, still owned by his descendants. Overnight (2 nights) in Baddeck (B, D)


Day 7: Cabot Trail Guided Tour

A local guide will be our guest today as our motor coach winds along the panoramic circular roadway known as the Cabot Trail. Stops will be made at a quaint church, a local craft shop and other sites as we learn of the hearty people who settled this beautiful area. We return to Baddeck for dinner at the Keltic Lodge and overnight. (B, D)


Day 8: Fortress of Louisbourg, Halifax

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Park is the largest reconstructed 18th century French fortified town in North America. Costumed guides will interpret the lives of this great 1744 restoration along with daily demonstrations of music, dancing, cooking, military drills, and much more. This afternoon we leave the northeastern cape and travel the scenic route to Halifax (2 nights), the capital city of Nova Scotia. (B, L)


Day 9: Halifax Tour, Peggy’s Cove

The morning guided tour will include all of the important sights including the Public Gardens and a special stop at the famous Titanic Cemetery. This afternoon we travel to nearby Peggy’s Cove for a lobster lunch, unforgettable photos, and free time for shopping in the artist shops. (B, L)


Day 10: Free Time, Ferry to St. John, Bangor

Our morning is free for shopping, sightseeing on your own, or simply relaxing. This afternoon we travel to Digby and board the “Princess of Acadia” ferry including dinner and a relaxing crossing to the mainland. Our lodging this evening will be in Bangor. (B, D)


Day 11: Kennebunkport, Boston

Traveling southward we stop at the charming village of Kennebunkport, Maine for free time to shop and sightsee on your own. Be sure to get a photo of the George & Barbara Bush summer estate. Our lodging and farewell dinner will be in the Boston area. (B, D)


Day 12: Departure for Home
