Price Includes: All motor coach and land transportation, sightseeing, admissions, services of tour director and driver, lodging, meals as specified in tour itinerary, taxes, gratuities to bellhops and waiters at included meals.


Not Included: Cost of obtaining passports or visas, laundry, meals, beverages or sightseeing not included in the itinerary, travel insurance, gratuity to guide, driver, communication charges, & excess baggage fees. Port charges and gratuities to crew are not included on cruises.


Deposit Required: $300 per person will reserve your place. A $100 service fee will be charged for cancellation at any time in addition to our normal payment and cancellation policy.

Day 1: Africa

Depart JFK in the early evening on your South African Airways direct flight to Johannesburg, then connect to Cape Town.


Day 2: Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town in the early evening and check into your hotel to freshen up. Afterwards the rest of the evening is at your leisure to see the town or do some shopping. Overnight in Cape Town.


Day 3: Oudtshoorn

After breakfast depart your hotel for Oudtshoorn. Travel via the scenic Sir Lowry's pass and the apple orchards of Grabouw to the historic town of Swellendam. Continue through the Huis River pass to the folded sandstone mountain range to experience the semi-desert areas of the Klein Karoo. Visit the towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp before arriving in Oudtshoorn, the "ostrich capital".


Day 4: Cango Caves & Mossel Bay

Start off the morning by visiting the famous Cango Caves. Afterwards an optional tour is available to go to a Crocodile and Cheetah Ranch. Next, visit an Ostrich farm for a guided tour. Then you're off to Mossel Bay to visit the Post Office Tree traveling via the Robinson Pass covered in Fynbos vegetation. On your way to Kynysna, where you'll overnight, we will travel via George and Wilderness.


Day 5: Port Elizabeth

Start off the day with a delicious breakfast and then head to Port Elizabeth. The route is via Plettenberg Bay, know as the millionaires playground, and past the magnificent forest of Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight in Port Elizabeth.


Day 6: Addo Elephant National Park & Grahmstown

Continue your eastward journey to Addo Elephant National Park, and Grahamstown, "city of churches". This cultural center boasts a wide variety of interesting sites including schools, Rhodes University, and early settler monuments and architecture. After you meet your local guide, you will have the exciting opportunity to visit people living in the township, eat lunch with a local family, visit a kindergarten and a community self-help project.


Day 7: Xhosa Traditions

After crossing the Kei River you continue on to the former homeland of Ciskei and Transkei. Outside Umtata, follow the early footsteps of Nelson Mandela's youth at his home village of Qunu and experience Xhosa traditions and cuisine.


Day 8: Orbi Falls

After breakfast travel to colorful Durban via the Oribi Gorge for a short walk to view the sights and the 90m Oribi falls. Once you arrive in Durban, the evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Durban.


Day 9: Durban

After breakfast catch up on some last minute sightseeing or shopping in festive Durban. In the afternoon you are transferred from you hotel to the airport to catch your South African flight back to the US. After a connection in Johannesburg you fly direct back to JFK.


Day 10: Home

Arrive back at JFK early morning.
