Tonight we will board our flight to Vienna.
Day 2
• Arrival in
Vienna
Upon arrival in Vienna, we'll meet with our motorcoach and guide and have a
panoramic tour of the city before going to the Artis Hotel or similar.
The rest of the day is at our leisure. We will have dinner together at the
hotel, our home throughout our stay here in Vienna.
Day 3 •
Vienna City Tour
This morning we have arranged a city tour for your enjoyment. You will
start off by seeing the Ringstrabe, the street surrounding the center of Vienna and
it's famous historical buildings and monuments. You can take a look at the Museum of Applied Arts, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural History, the House of Parliament, the Burgtheater and the City Hall. On the way to the Prater (the Viennese amusement park) you will pass by the Kunsthaus. You will also see the Giant Ferris Wheel, which is an impressive landmark of Vienna. The highlight of this tour this morning is the gorgeous Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburg family. You will see the rooms where Maria Theresia and Kaiser Franz Joseph lived and worked. On your way back to the center, you will see Belvedere Palace, the summer residence of Prinz Eugen.
Your afternoon will be free for you to enjoy on your own.

Homeward Bound
Today we are transferred to the Vienna Airport for our flight back to the
U.S.
Day 4 • Vienna Woods
Optional Full-Day Tour - 8 hours
Venture into the Vienna Woods for a most intriguing day out. Visit an ancient Roman City with thermal baths and discover sad tales
at the historic Mayerling Hunting Lodge. See the very place where Schubert composed his famous song 'The Linden Tree' and take a scenic boat ride on Europe's largest subterranean
lake before returning back to your hotel this evening.
Day 5
• Krems, Melk & Durnstein
Optional Full-Day Tour - 10 hours
This full-day excursion will reveal to you the exquisite beauty of the Wachau Valley. As the coach winds through romantic scenery with charming old villages, steep vineyards and mysterious looking castles, the history and legends of the area will be brought to life. One such castle is the well-known
Durnstein. Enjoy a romantic boat-trip down the Danube to the old wine-merchant town of Krems, in the heart of the Wachau. Continue to Melk, where you will have the opportunity to have lunch at the Abbey Restaurant.
~ Please note the boat trip does not operate between November and May. Instead the tour will include lunch at the 'Zum Schwarzen Baren' in
Emmersdorf. ~
