Today we depart the USA and fly overnight to Amman, Jordan.


Day 2, Sunday, February 19, 2023 - Arrive in Amman, Jordan

We arrive in Amman today, meet our tour guide and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 3, Monday, February 20, 2023 - Mt. Nebo, Madaba, Bethany Beyond Jordan

Visit Mount Nebo, where Moses caught a glimpse of the Promised Land. On a clear day, you can see all the way across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Visit Bethany Beyond Jordan. Enjoy an opportunity to take a dip in the mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea. Check in to your Dead Sea hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 4, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 - Petra

Travel south from Amman for a visit to the city of Petra. Its entrance passes through a long, narrow gorge known as the Siq and can only be accessed by carriage, horseback or on foot. Once inside the city, marvel at the intricate detail of a city that was cut into the cliff sides of rose-colored rock. Return to Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.


Day 5, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 - Allenby Bridge, Beit Shean, Jordan Valley, Mt. Arbel, Capernaum, Magdala

Cross the Allenby Bridge into Israel. This morning visit Beit Shean, which has been occupied for over 5,000 years, and view the country’s best preserved Roman amphitheatre and other impressive Roman city remains. View the Jordan Valley as you journey to Mount Arbel with its stunning panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee where most of Jesus’ ministry took place. Explore Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilean region. Visit the synagogue, which stands on the site where Jesus taught. Recall His teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom. In Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene, visit a recently discovered first-century synagogue. Check in to your Galilee hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 6, Thursday, February 23, 2023 - Chorazin, Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Mt. of Beatitudes, Galilee Boat Ride

Visit Chorazin, the town cursed by Jesus because He did mighty works there and they “repented not” (Matt. 11:20-21). Travel to Tel Dan, where you can see the ancient city gates from the time of Abraham. Proceed to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter confessed that Jesus was the Christ. Enjoy a lush stroll through the beautiful nature preserve. Visit the peaceful Mt. of Beatitudes. On this hill, Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Sail across the Sea of Galilee and experience a special onboard worship service. Return to your Galilee hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 7, Friday, February 24, 2023 - Nazareth Village, Megiddo, Mt. Carmel, Caesarea

This morning, explore the Nazareth Village, a living presentation of the life, times, and teachings of Jesus. Travel to Megiddo (biblical Armageddon), where 20 different cities lie superimposed upon each other. Time permitting, visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah defeated the Baal prophets. Proceed along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea, a center of the early Christians, where you will visit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre. Late this afternoon we travel to Jerusalem and check into our hotel which will be our home for the next 5 nights.


Day 8, Saturday, February 25, 2023 - Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Mt. Scopus overview

Visit Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortress, which became the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore. Peer down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp. Journey to Ein Gedi and visit the nature preserve and waterfall. Proceed to Qumran to view the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and the area that was inhabited by the mysterious community of the Essenes.


Day 9, Sunday, February 26, 2023 - Hezekiah’s Tunnel, Jewish Quarter, Wailing Wall, Western Wall Tunnels, Lithostratus

Explore Hezekiah’s Tunnel, an amazing engineering feat that was dug from either end and met in the middle! (Note: Those who are claustrophobic may want to meet the group at the other end of the tunnel!) Walk the Jewish Quarter and take time to visit the Cardo, a 2,000-year-old market with shops old and new. Touch a piece of the Temple when you pray at the Wailing Wall. Visit underground Jerusalem when you walk through the Western Wall Tunnel. Time permitting, continue to the Lithostratus to see the remains of the Antonia Fortress where Pilate tried Jesus. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 10, Monday, February 27, 2023 - Bethlehem, Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Caiphass’ House, Yad Vashem

In Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace and see the Church of the Nativity constructed over the site (Matt. 1:18-25). Recount the final hours of Jesus before His crucifixion by walking from the top of the Mt. of Olives down to the Garden of Gethsemane where He prayed and was apprehended. Enter the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus went to pray after the Last Supper and was arrested (Matt. 26:36-56). Next we visit the Church of St. Peter of Galicantu the place where the High Priest, Caiaphas, is believed to have held Jesus after his arrest (Matt. 26:57). We conclude our day with a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and be touched by its poignant images. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 11, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 - Temple Mount, Pool of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Dominus Flevit, US Embassy, Knesset, Garden Tomb

Visit the Temple Mount to view the site of the Jewish Temple. Continue to the Pool of Bethesda, where Christ healed the lame man. Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. At Dominus Flevit Church, visit the place where Jesus mourned for Jerusalem. This afternoon drive by and view the U.S. Embassy and the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament) as you travel in Jerusalem. Finally, visit the Garden Tomb, where Christ was buried and see the empty tomb because He is risen!


Day 12, Wednesday, March 1, 2023 - Return Home
