DAY 1 - October 20: DEPART U.S.A.

Tour members meet for our flight to Israel. After dinner is served, sit back and relax as you prepare for this exciting adventure of a lifetime – following the way of Jesus.

DAY 2 – October 21: ARRIVE IN TEL AVIV, EIN KAREM, BETHLEHEM

In Tel Aviv, we are met by our agent who assists us in gathering our bags and getting through customs and security. Exiting customs, we meet our very own Israeli travel guide who will be with us throughout the trip. We transfer to our motor coach for our drive to our first site, Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born. Here we introduce our tour theme by seeing how John “prepared the way” for Jesus and how we can “Follow the Way of Jesus.” From there we head to Bethlehem for our dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - October 22: BETHLEHEM, NAZARETH, GALILEE, MT. ARBEL, MAGDALA, TIBERIAS

Today we start out in Bethlehem to visit the Shepherd's Field and Church of the Nativity. From there we follow the ancient path Joseph and Mary took as we head north to the town of Nazareth (Luke 1 & 2) to visit a first century Nazareth Village with detailed explanation of what life was like during the time of Jesus.. From there we head east to the Sea of Galilee and ascend Mt. Arbel for a breathtaking view over the Sea of Galilee and an overview of the ministry of Jesus with the disciples. We will visit the new excavations of the town of Magdala, where Jesus would have passed through many times, the hometown of Mary Magdalene.

DAY 4 - October 23: MT. OF BEATITUDES, CAPERNAUM, SHORES OF GALILEE, GINOSAR JESUS BOAT MUSEUM, BOAT RIDE ON SEA OF GALILEE, BETHSAIDA, JESUS TRAIL, YARDENIT (JORDAN RIVER)

We begin our tour today at the Mt. of Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7) to hear an unforgettable reading of the Sermon on the Mount. Afterwards, we spend some time in the remains of Capernaum, Jesus’ base for His early ministry. Then we visit an area on the shores of the Sea of Galilee near where Jesus called his first disciples to follow Him. A short drive south along the water brings us to the Jesus Boat Museum at Ginosar and the opportunity to board a replica wooden “Jesus Boat” for our unforgettable boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Debarking from the boat, we head to Bethsaida, the hometown of Philip, Peter and Andrew, a town where Jesus performed many miracles. Then we have a walk on the famous Jesus Trail, following in the footsteps of Jesus. We end the day with a visit to the Jordan River with an opportunity to be baptized in that special river.

DAY 5 - October 24: MENSA CHRISTI, TEL DAN, CAESAREA PHILIPPI, DEAD SEA FLOAT, JERUSALEM

We begin the day at Mensa Christi (Table of Christ) where the risen Christ ate breakfast with his disciples for a time of reflection and worship. From there, we travel north through Upper Galilee to Tel Dan for a short hike/walk through the beautiful Tel Dan Reserve to one of the sources for the Jordan River. A short drive takes us to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made the good confession of Christ as “the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:13-16). We bid farewell to the Galilee region and head south to the Dead Sea area with some time to float. Then, we begin our journey to the majestic city of Jerusalem in time for dinner and getting settled in our hotel in Jerusalem. “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem.” (Psalm 122: 1-2 NASB).

DAY 6 - October 25 : MOUNT OF OLIVES, PALM SUNDAY ROAD, DOMINUS FLEVIT, SOUTHERN STEPS, DAVIDSON CENTER, ROBINSON ARCH, WESTERN WALL (PRAYER), CARDO, JEWISH QUARTER, PRAYER TOWER, KING OF KINGS CHURCH

After breakfast, we start our day by tracing the footsteps of Jesus as he approached Jerusalem for his final week, starting as Scripture says from the Mt. of Olives and proceeding down the ancient Palm Sunday Road (on Sunday morning!) to the Dominus Flevit (Latin for “The Lord Wept”), the church erected to commemorate where Jesus wept upon seeing Jerusalem at the beginning of that final week. From there we head to the Southern Steps of the ancient Temple, one of the few places in the massive Temple that we know with absolute certainty Jesus had to walk when He visited the Temple. We enjoy a short video explanation at the nearby Davidson Center, which will provide us with an overview of what the Temple area may have looked like during the time of Jesus and explore the archeology surrounding it. From there we head into the old city passing by the Robinson Arch to the Western Wall (of Herod’s Temple), the holiest site to the Jewish world for an opportunity to pray at this historic wall on the Sabbath. We will continue to the Cardo, the ancient central street of Jerusalem for some shopping and then into the Jewish Quarter. We end this amazing Sunday in Jerusalem by visiting a Prayer Tower high above Jerusalem and then joining the King of Kings church, a local congregation of Christians and Messianic Jews to worship our Lord in the Holy City! Dinner and overnight are in Jerusalem.

DAY 7 - October 26: MOUNT OF OLIVES, BETHANY, ISRAEL MUSEUM, SHRINE OF THE BOOK, MODEL CITY, TOWER OF DAVID MUSEUM

This morning, we have an opportunity for some more time at the Mt. of Olives, which was such an important site in Jesus’ ministry. Nearby is Bethany where Jesus often spent the night when visiting Jerusalem. From there we take a bus ride to visit the vast Israel Museum which, among many other things, holds the Shrine of the Book Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed, and a fascinating 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem as it would have appeared in Jesus' time. We end our day with a visit to the Tower of David Museum. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 – October 27 - WESTERN WALL/RABBI’S TUNNEL, MT. ZION, UPPER ROOM, GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE PRIVATE ENTRANCE, CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS, CHURCH OF ST. PETER GALLICANTU, KIDRON VALLEY, LION’S GATE, POOLS OF BETHESDA, ST. ANNE’S CHURCH, VIA DOLOROSA, JUDGMENT HALL OF PILATE, CHURCH OF HOLY SEPULCHRE, GARDEN TOMB

We begin this day in Jerusalem returning to the Western Wall where close by is the entrance to the Rabbinical Tunnels. Here we will have an unforgettable journey through the tunnels that contain the holiest sites to the Jews. From there we head to Mt. Zion and make our way to the Upper Room where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper. Then we follow his footsteps outside the ancient walls to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations/Gethsemane Church. From there we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Cockcrow Church) and recall Peter’s denial of Christ. Then we re-enter the old city of Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate (also called St. Stephen’s Gate) and make our way to the Pools of Bethesda. Next, we visit St. Anne’s Church and then retrace the path to the cross where we see the Pavement (where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate), Ecce Homo Arch, walking along the Via Dolorosa – ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We close this incredible day with a visit to Golgotha and the Garden Tomb for a memorable time of worship and communion. From there we will head back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9 – October 28 - TEMPLE MOUNT, REVISIT WESTERN WALL, MEGIDDO, VINEYARD, CAESAREA, FAREWELL DINNER, AIRPORT

We begin this day early at the Temple Mount, the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Samuel 24:18-25). On this site now stands El-Aksa Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock. From there we visit the Western Wall one more time and then leave the city of Jerusalem for the last time and head north to the hill (“Har” in Hebrew) of Megiddo (Har+Megiddo=Ar-mageddon) for a view over the vast Jezreel Valley and where it is easy to imagine all the armies of the world gathering for a battle (Rev. 16: 14, 16). Nearby we stop at a Vineyard to learn more about what it means to “abide in the vine” (John 15.) From there we drive to the beautiful seaport of Caesarea, a city where two famous followers of Jesus made historic impacts in a young and expanding church. Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion Cornelius (Acts 10) and Paul was imprisoned here and began his historic journey to Rome from this city (Acts 23-27). After Caesarea, we see the sunset for a final time, this time over the majestic Mediterranean Sea before we head to our Farewell Dinner and evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight back home.

DAY 10 – October 29: ARRIVE IN U.S.A.

We arrive back in the U.S.A. in the morning. At the close of an unforgettable tour, we take home wonderful memories of the Old and New Testament, a renewal of our faith, a greater understanding of the life of our Lord and a renewed commitment to follow Jesus as his disciple.
