June 4 to June 16, 2002

June 4: LONDON, ENGLAND (Embark 5:00 PM)
Today, we'll embark on our floating hotel for the next ten nights, Royal Caribbean's beautiful Rhapsody of the Seas as we prepare for our Scandinavian journey.

June 5: AT SEA
We will have the opportunity today to experience the onboard adventures of our ship as we sail the North Sea for our first port of call.

June 6: OSLO, NORWAY
This morning we arrive in Oslo, Norway. A highlight of any trip to Oslo is the Viking Ship Museum. You'll see three authentic longships and household goods from the Viking era. Continue on to Vigeland Sculpture Park where there are more than 150 stone and bronze sculptures. Or, perhaps you would simply enjoy an afternoon touring the gorgeous city of Oslo where you will see the first ski jump, dated 1892.

June 7: AT SEA
We spend this day at sea heading toward our next destination

June 8: STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
This morning, we arrive in Sweden's capital, Stockholm. Situated where Lake Malaren meets the Baltic Sea, Stockholm was founded as a fortress in the mid-13th century. The fortress grew into a town, spread to nearby islands, and the mainland eventually became the capital of Sweden. It is a city of remarkable beauty with its numerous parks, tree-lined squares and boulevards, and pleasant water vistas. Stockholm is very easy to see by bus. Another great way to see the sights is to cruise the extensive waterways in a glass-enclosed boat. On tours of the city's historic and modern districts, you get to see the Royal Palace, houses from the 15th century in medieval Old Town, panoramic views of the stately skyline, the parklands and attractions of Djurgarden and the Blue Hall in City Hall, where the Nobel Prize festivities are held.

June 9: HELSINKI, FINLAND
Your tour of Helsinki starts in the shipyards then leads to colorful open-air Market Square. Then on to the domed Tuomiokirkko, Parliament House and the majestic Finlandia Hall. No tour would be complete without a visit to the Rock Church and the 1952 Olympic Stadium. If you choose, you may also visit the scenic town of Porvoo. This city dates back to 1346 and offers photographic opportunities galore.

June 10 and 11: ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
St. Petersburg is rich in cultural heritage and is a masterpiece of architecture, embodying the soul of Imperial Russia. See the elegant facades, glorious cathedrals, and grand residences along St. Petersburg's beautiful canals. Take this opportunity to see The Hermitage Museum at the Winter Palace, Imperial Petrodvorets and its complex system of fountains and Catherine the Great's Palace at Pushkin. You'll have the opportunity to be treated as royalty when you indulge in Russian tea and Piroshkis at the Duke's Palace. You may also wish to engage in a cultural outing such as a concert at Smolny Cathedral. Get some great prictures of St. Isaac's Cathedral, the world's third largest domed cathedral.

June 12: TALLINN, ESTONIA
Muuga is your gateway to Tallinn, a city known for its medieval history and artifacts. You won't want to miss a walking tour where you will experience the gothic Domed Church. An excursion to St. Mary's Cathedral highlights ancient coats of arms. You will also have an opportunity to see the Song Festival Ground where performers sing to over 300,000 spectators every five years. Convent ruins, cemeteries, and federal houses are also historical treasures in this city.

June 13 and 14: COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
The wealth of royalty can be found everywhere in Copenhagen. Castles, mansions and the Danish Crown Jewels will be some of the highlights of a Copenhagen tour. Seize a photographic moment at the famous bronze sculpture of the Little Mermaid, the symbol of Copenhagen. Take a castle tour and see these opulent structures in both Copenhagen and North Zealand. Or simply spend the day strolling by the blooms in the world famous Tivoli Gardens.
