St. Petersburg, Russia

Constructed on Zayachy Island in 1703, this seaport is one of the oldest in Russia, part of Peter the Great's plan to create a "Window on the West." It's Russia's most beautiful city, showcasing the almost unimaginable wealth of the czars: the Summer Palace, the Peter and Paul Fortress - and in the rooms of the Hermitage, the world's largest art collection, lovingly assembled by Catherine the Great. We'll have a full day to explore the sights. Don't forget to shop for Matryoshka dolls.
