Cruise to Paradise
8 - Day Hawaiian Islands

Year - Round Departures

Day 1: Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii
The floral-scented air, dazzling beaches and spectacular sunrises over Diamond Head were already here when King Kamehameha III moved the seat of power from Lahaina to Honolulu in the 1840s. They still are, and today they're joined by other attractions just as desirable to visitors: museums, historic Pearl Harbor, sophisticated shopping and excellent restaurants. And through it all, golden Waikiki Beach has been the playground of choice.

Day 2: Kona, Hawaii
Reliable sunny days, spectacular sunsets, fascinating historical sites and tidal pools teeming with marine life…it's no wonder the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii is called the Gold Coast. And it's no surprise that West Hawaii's first destination resort was here, a favorite of the rich and famous from the 1930s to the 1950s.

Day 3: At Sea
Your adventure out to sea will send you to an unforgettable day of fun and relaxation.  Aboard the Norwegian Star you will find yourselves, eating at the many restaurants and lounges, and enjoying the many shows that are going on all day long.  If you feel like being active you may go to the barong spa & fitness center, or just lounge in the spa pool and Jacuzzi area. There are many things for the children to do during the day also. They include: teen disco, video game arcade, kids pool area, and many shows.  Parents if you are longing for an evening without the kids we offer a day care and a nursery for you. We want to make the Norwegian Star cruise a most memorable time for you.

Day 4: Fanning Island, Republic of Kiribati
This isolated island in the Republic of Kiribati is NCL's private getaway, with no electricity or telephones and perfect for a day of rest. You can swim or snorkel in crystal clear lagoons, take a walk or just relax on the beach and enjoy the ocean view. The island's residents are warm, friendly people who smile often and tend to sing and dance on a whim. Their main sustenance is fish and coconuts. You can buy hand-made crafts, including woven items like grass mats, bowls made from small shells, and decorative knives made from shark teeth and palm. Republic of Kiribati postage stamps are said to be highly prized by philatelists. Bring a camera and wander to nearby villages and settlements. Head for the beach and enjoy a barbecue, some snorkeling, a game of volleyball, or relax on a float and drink in the ocean views.

Days 5: At Sea
Your adventure out to sea will send you to an unforgettable day of fun and relaxation.  Aboard the Norwegian Star you will find yourselves, eating at the many restaurants and lounges, then hopping over to the many shows that are going on all day long.

Day 6: Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
This one-time bustling whaling port and former Hawaiian seat of power has lost the fame and notoriety it had in those days, but none of the energy. Most of the tiny town is now a national historic landmark, perfect for a walking tour. On the eastern side of Maui Island, Hana Rain Forest nurtures 2,500 species of plants that exist nowhere else.

Day 7: Nawiliwili, Kauai, Hawaii
The land is pure poetry on this lush island of rainforest and smooth rounded mountains, cascading waterfalls and towering ocean cliffs. Streams tumbling to the sea have cut deep and wide, giving Kauai the only navigable river in Hawaii. Don't miss rainbow-tinted Waimea Canyon, justifiable called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, or Poipu's spouting horn, where water soars over 50 feet into the air.

Day 8: Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii
The floral-scented air, dazzling beaches and spectacular sunrises over Diamond Head were already here when King Kamehameha III moved the seat of power from Lahaina to Honolulu in the 1840s. They still are, and today they're joined by other attractions just as desirable to visitors: museums, historic Pearl Harbor, sophisticated shopping and excellent restaurants. And through it all, golden Waikiki Beach has been the playground of choice.
