Day 1: Departure from San Juan
We depart this
evening from San Juan.
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
We arrive at St.
Thomas this morning at around 7 a.m. The possibilities are endless
on this popular 32 square mile tropical paradise! Snorkeling,
scuba diving, kayaking, biking-- or simply relax and do some shopping.
The beauty of the white and pastel houses set against a backdrop of
emerald hills is breathtaking. Be sure to find your way to the
view from Drake's Seat, where Sir Francis Drake himself sat to observe
his fleet. We depart this evening around 6 p.m.
Around 7 a.m.
this morning we begin our visit to St. Kitts, the "Gibraltar of the West
Indies". The highlight of the natural beauty on this island is
Mount Liamuiga, a dormant volcano. The excellent preservation of
the natural ecosystem provides an wonderful opportunity for those
seeking tropical exploration. Other highlights include an island
version of Big Ben, Picadilly Circus, and the pink salt pond. We
depart this evening around 6 p.m.
We arrive this
morning on the "Spice Island" of Grenada around 9 a.m., breathing in the
scent of wild nutmeg. Take a hike to Grand Etang Lake and the
Seven Sisters Falls, where you'll find a crystal clear pool for
swimming. We will depart this afternoon around 3 p.m. for our next
Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles
today, we will sail into Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. Bonaire
features a landscape that can best be described as "Caribbean style
outback", native to both iguanas and the cactus. Ranked as one of
the finest snorkeling and scuba diving destinations in the world, the
waters off of Bonaire's coast have been declared a marine park.
Depart this evening around 7 p.m.
Arrival around 8am. Breathtaking beaches and an abundance of
natural reefs await you as we disembark in Aruba. Whether you
choose an active day of snorkeling or horseback riding or a relaxing day
basking in the sun, you're sure to have an enjoyable day on this
beautiful island. We re-board the ship this evening around 5pm.
