New Orleans and The Gulf Coast

Day 1 Arrive in New Orleans 
Welcome to New Orleans, America's jazz capital. Meet your Tour Director at 6 p.m. for a welcome reception. Chateau Dupre French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana (3 nights).

Day 2 New Orleans Touring 
We begin this morning strolling through the French Quarter with our local guide. We will see such sights as Pirates Alley, St. Louis Cathedral, Bourbon Street, the French Market, historic Jackson Square and much more. After a stop at Cafe du Monde for cafe au lait and beignets, we board our motorcoach for more touring. We will see the Garden District, Superdome, World Trade Center and the old cemeteries. This afternoon we visit Longue Vue House and Gardens. One of the most beautiful estates in New Orleans. Tonight we dine at the famous Court of Two Sisters restaurant. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 3 Louisiana Swamp Tour 
Journey by boat through the heart of southern Louisiana's swamplands. We'll see moss-draped cypress trees, fascinating plant life and native wildlife. Our guide will share legends and lore of Louisiana's still untamed wilderness. This afternoon is at your leisure. Your Tour Director is available to offer suggestions. Breakfast. 

Day 4 Biloxi
We begin our morning with a spectacular view of New Orleans from "The Top of the Mart" in the World Trade Center. We then depart for a tour of Biloxi's historic sights. We will visit Beauvoir, the last home of Jefferson Davis, the U.S. senator, secretary of war and president of the Confederate States of America. The 1853 house and the pavilions are fully restored on picturesque grounds. Your evening includes dinner at your casino hotel. Breakfast and dinner. Grand Casino, Gulfport, Mississippi (2 nights).

Day 5 Bellingrath Gardens and Mobile 
Enjoy a buffet breakfast this morning before traveling to Mobile, one of the south's most magnificent port cities. We stop at Bellingrath Gardens, featured on A&E's America's Castles. There are 65 acres of gardens, full of camellias, azaleas, lilies and fragrant dogwoods. The gardens surround the mansion of Walter Bellingrath, one of the founders of Coca-Cola. You can tour this unique brick and wrought iron mansion or, if you prefer, take a cruise on the Fowl River. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner together. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 6 Return Home 
After breakfast we board our coach and head back along the Gulf of Mexico to New Orleans for flights after 1:30 p.m. You will return home with warm memories of rich southern tradition and hospitality. Breakfast.
