We then check into our lodging in Bar Harbor.

Day 3: Halifax
This morning, a modern catamaran style ferry whisks us to Nova Scotia in only 3 1/2 hours. Upon our arrival in Yarmouth, we disembark and travel along the scenic coastline of Nova Scotia. Our first stop will be dockside in charming Shelbourne for lunch, then off to the quaint German bay village of Lunenburg for free time to explore through the Fisher's Museum if you wish. One more stop for pictures in the often photographed town of Mahone Bay before a short ride to our hotel for the next two nights in the capital city of Halifax.
(Parties Arriving on 7 Day Program Will Meet Group Here)

Day 4: Peggy's Cove
Our day begins with a guided tour of the city of Halifax with details of history and many interesting sights such as the restored waterfront district and the Citadel with the "Changing of the Guards." This afternoon, we visit the picturesque fishing village of Peggy's Cove with its rocky coastline and peaceful harbor. After lunch and the opportunity to take photographs, we return to our hotel in Halifax. The remainder of the day is free to explore through the many shops of the restored harbor area of Halifax.

Day 5: Eastern Shore
This morning we enjoy an unforgettable drive along Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore where forest meets the sea. Picturesque harbors and coves please the eye at every bend in the road. We pass through villages known for their original Indian names such as Ecum and Necum Teuch. Our lodging for the next two evenings is in Baddeck overlooking the beautiful Bras d'Or Channel. Bald eagles may be seen flying over the valley. Our arrival in Babbeck will allow for time to take an optional Bird Island Boat Tour to view puffins and other local animal life.

Day 6: Cabot Trail & Bell Museum
We start our day with a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum before traveling one of the most scenic highways on the continent, the Cabot Trail. Stops are made for rest and pictures as the highway winds through Cape Breton Highland National Park, past majestic rock bluffs, over the summits of lofty peaks, and through deep stream-lined valleys. Before returning to our lodging, we visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.

Day 7: Charming Pictou & Prince Edward Island
This morning, we will visit the waterfront restoration of Hector, the ship on which the original Scottish settlers arrived. We also travel to the town of Caribou and board a ferry for a short crossing to enchanted Prince Edward Island. Upon our arrival in Wood Islands, we continue on to our lodging in Charlottetown.

Day 8: Ann of Green Gables
Today a local guide introduces us to the sights, legends and history of Prince Edward Island. We view the North Shore Beaches and an Acadian fishing village. We also tour the world famous Green Gables at Cavendish Beach, the internationally known Woodleigh Replicas at Burlington and much more. This evening, we have reserved seats at the Confederation of the Arts for the showing of the world renowned "Anne of Green Gables."

Day 9: Magnetic Hill & Reversing Falls
This morning we cross the Confederation Bridge, linking PEI to New Brunswick, then on to Fundy National Park to view more spectacular scenery of forests and coastline.
