Oahu has been known as "The Gathering Place" since ancient times. Stroll down the bustling streets of Honolulu and you'll appreciate how appropriate that name still is. Visitors from the mainland, Japan and Europe flock to Honolulu and add to its exciting multi-cultural mix. Honolulu's skyline is that of a modern American city, with gleaming office buildings, high rise condominiums and towering hotels. These buildings seem dwarfed, though, by the magnificent presence of Diamond Head, the city's most famous landmark.

The island's must-see attractions are the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you have more time to spend in Honolulu, you can soak up the sun at world-renowned Waikiki Beach, view Hawaii's cultural and artistic treasures at the Bishop Museum, shop at the city's upscale boutiques or browse through the International Marketplace.
