Day 1 Arrival
Arrival in Vancouver and free transport to your hotel.
Day 2 Victoria
Described as "more British than Britain", Victoria has an
ambiance that can only be described as Old World. Your journey begins
with a scenic cruise on board the B.C. Ferry service across Georgia
Strait to Vancouver Island. On route you will pass close by the Gulf
Islands and may even see Orca's breaching in the waves. Upon arriving in
Victoria, your first visit will be to the world famous Butchart Gardens.
This afternoon you tour the city and check into your downtown hotel,
which is within easy walking distance of all Inner Harbor attractions.
Overnight in Victoria.
Day 3 Native
Culture
This morning, enjoy free time before departing Victoria for your
northern journey up Vancouver Island. Stops this morning include
Quw'utsun' Cultural and Conference Center, where you will get first hand
knowledge of native culture. This afternoon you will visit the muralled
city of Chemainus before ending your journey in Campbell River.
Overnight in Campbell River.
Day 4 Killer
Whales
Today you'll experience the world famous Robson Bight. It is here that
many a television special has been filmed about the Orca or Killer
Whale. You will see pods of these magnificent creatures as they rub
their bodies on the sandy shoals of the area. Today will most definitely
be a highlight of your tour. Overnight in Port Hardy area.
Day 5 British
Columbia's Inside Passage
Early this morning you board the Queen of the North and cruise through
the sheltered waters of the inside passage. The majestic beauty of the
area will be etched into your memory forever. Overnight in Prince
Rupert.
Day 6 River Of
Mists
This morning will take you on a brief tour of Prince Rupert. Afterwards
you'll visit the Cannery Museum in Port Edwards. Your journey continues
this afternoon along the Skeena River on the Yellowhead Highway to
Smithers for overnight.
Day 7 Fossils
Beds
Today you'll make a visit to the Fossil Beds outside of Smithers before
driving east to Prince George. There is a good chance today of seeing
members of a First Nations Indian band spear fishing in the Buckley
River. Overnight in Prince George.
Day 8 Mount
Robson
Your motorcoach travels east along the Yellowhead Highway through
McBride and Tete Le Jeune to Mount Robson, the tallest mountain in the
Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 9 Columbia
Icefields Parkway
Considered one of the most scenic highways in North America, your ride
to Banff today takes you by pristine lakes and waterfalls. This
afternoon you'll take a walk on Athabaska Glacier before checking into
your hotel at Canmore, just outside of Banff.
Day 10 Banff
Today will be spent seeing the local sights around the beautiful Banff
and the Lake Louise areas.
Day 11 Lake
Louise
Our first stop of the day is at Lake Louise, a small but stunningly blue
lake fed directly by the nearby dramatic glaciers. This afternoon you'll
pass through Yoho National Park and Glacier via the Rogers Pass to
Revelstoke. Overnight in Revelstoke.
Day 12 The Last
Spike
Your last day in British Columbia begins with a visit to Craigallachie
before turning south through the Okanagan Valley. This afternoon you'll
connect to the Coquihalla Highway and return to the Vancouver area by
early evening.
Day 13 Home
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight
home.
