Canadian Rockies Featuring Vancouver

Day 1 Arrive in Vancouver, Canada 
Welcome to the gem of the Pacific Northwest, Vancouver, British Columbia. The evening is yours to enjoy one of the city's great restaurants. Your Tour Director is available to make suggestions. 
Georgian Court Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia (2 nights) 

Day 2 Vancouver 
Meet your traveling companions at a welcome breakfast at the hotel at 8 a.m. Our morning tour of Vancouver includes a scenic loop among the evergreens and rose gardens in the 1,000-acre woodlands of Stanley and Victoria Park, English Bay, Robson Square and Granville Island, with its bustling boutiques and farmer's markets. This afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy. 
Breakfast and dinner 

Day 3 To Sun Peaks and the Rockies 
Enjoy spectacular scenery as we travel towards the Canadian Rockies today. We travel north along the very scenic Coquihalla Highway toward Kamloops this morning. Our destination is Sun Peaks, a resort community nestled in the Rockies. Breakfast and dinner. Sundance Lodge, Sun Peaks, British Columbia.

Day 4 On to Jasper
We'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before we follow the Thompson River with its stark, arid beauty. Before arriving in Jasper we pass Mt. Robson, the Canadian Rockies' highest peak at 12,972 feet. Jasper National Park is the largest mountain park in Canada. Breakfast and dinner. Sawridge Hotel, Jasper, Alberta (2 nights).

Day 5 Maligne Lake Cruise 
Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Jasper National Park as we cruise Maligne Lake with its unparalleled vistas. Watch moose lazily wander the shoreline and watch for other wildlife that are native to the area. In the afternoon we return to Jasper in plenty of time to spot the elk as they come into town for their afternoon visit. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 6 Travel to Banff 
This morning it's on to Banff, Canada's oldest national park. We trade our motorcoach for a snow coach and venture on to North America's largest glacier, the Columbia Icefield's Athabasca Glacier. Travel past the ice field to Chateau Lake Louise for a photo stop. Savor the magnificent view of the region as we continue along the parkway to Banff. Breakfast and dinner. Banff Park Lodge (2 nights).

Day 7 Exploring Banff 
It's a leisurely day to explore the quaint village of Banff, full of wonderful shops and charming boutiques. We take a gondola ride in enclosed cars to the peak of Sulphur Mountain for a spectacular view of the village and valley below. We celebrate our Canadian adventure and say goodbye to new friends during the farewell dinner hosted by our Tour Director. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 8 Calgary and Home 
We leave Banff for Calgary and our flight home after 
11 a.m. Breakfast.
