Day 1:
Arrival
Fly into Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Transfer via hotel courtesy
shuttle and overnight in Anchorage.
Day 2: St. Elias
National Park, Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Fairbanks
Deluxe motorcoach for today's spectacular narrated journey to Fairbanks;
better known to Alaskans as the Golden Heart City. Drive through the
Matanuska Susitna Valley where world record vegetables grow in the 24-hour
daylight and hear agricultural tales. The route takes you along the
Wrangell- St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S. and the
Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Overnight in Fairbanks. (Meals: B)
Day 3: Fairbanks
Museum, River Cruise
Today meet your local Alaskan tour director and learn how the gold rush
affected Alaska's interior on a city sightseeing adventure of Fairbanks
with an included visit to the Fairbanks Museum. Time is available for
shopping, walking or dining on your own in the downtown area. Included
cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill
of river travel. Travel back to the time when traditional riverboats plied
the waterways of Alaska's interior during the late 1800's. Tonight,
partake in an optional authentic salmon bake. Overnight Fairbanks.(Meals:

Day 4: Denali
National Park
Ride the motorcoach south to Denali National Park. Enjoy an afternoon of
exploring this pristine area at your leisure by either participating in a
complimentary park service activity or optional tour. There are many to
choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flight seeing Mt.
McKinley, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to the award
winning dog kennels of 2006 Iditarod champion, Jeff King. Overnight at
Denali. (Meals: B)
Day 5: Tundra
Wilderness Tour
Today travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour
and search the pristine wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall
sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight
into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Overnight at
Denali. (Meals: B, Snack Box Meal)
Day 6: Alaska
Railroad, Anchorage
Enjoy a morning of leisure for on own exploration. This afternoon board
the world famous Alaska Railroad for the day trip to Anchorage. As you
travel along the Susitna River, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic
Mt. McKinley or black bear along the banks. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 7: Anchorage
Tour, Native Heritage Center
Enjoy a city tour of Anchorage, which includes the historic downtown
district. Included visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a gathering
place that celebrates, perpetuates and shares Alaska Native cultures.
Tonight, feast on an Alaskan style meal and share tales from the road with
your traveling companions. Overnight in Anchorage. (Meals: B, D)
Day 8: Alaskan
Artifacts, Specftacular Scenery, Homer
Exclusive motorcoach to the central peninsula community of Kenai. Visit
the Kenai Cultural Center and see the incredible display of Alaskan
artifacts. From here, enjoy a narrated walking tour of the old town
village of Kenai and discuss the Russian Orthodox influence. Continue the
motorcoach journey south and see spectacular scenery like volcanoes on the
far side of the Cook Inlet, lush green valleys and an array of
wildflowers. Included unique "Welcome to Homer" dinner. Overnight in
Homer.

Day 9: Fish
Cannery, Historical Outdoor Museum Village, Girdwood
Today, head north to the banks of the Kenai River and take a stroll down
the dock to watch fishermen in this world class destination. Visit an
authentic cannery, with a chance to explore this century old historic site
and dine at leisure (lunch not included). Visit the Historical Society
Museum and see early homestead cabins, the first area schoolhouse and
enjoy the nature trail. Overnight Girdwood, located in the scenic Portage
River Valley. (Meals: B)
Day 10: Wildlife
Conservation Center, Prince William Sound, Anchorage
Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for an up close look at some
of Alaska's land critters. Continue touring to the port of Whittier for
connections to a luxury high-speed catamaran. Cruise the calm and
protected waters of Prince William Sound and come face to face with
tidewater glaciers plus an amazing array of wildlife. Motorcoach tour to
Anchorage for overnight accommodations. (Meals: B, L)
Day 11: Home
Your Best of Alaska Escorted Land Tour comes to an end with a hotel
