Day 1: Departure
Relax on your night flight to Paris.

Day 2: Arrive in Paris
You arrive in Paris and are greeted by your tour host during your stay. You begin with a brief city tour en route to Hotel Mercure Tour Eiffel Suffren, then free time to explore on your own.

Day 3: Paris City Tour
This morning after breakfast you will begin your morning tour of Paris. First you will discover the Louvre Museum, then pass by the Island of the City and see the famous Cathedral of Notre Dame. We continue via the Town Hall, the Bastille, the prestigious Sorbonne University and the Pantheon. St. Germains des Pres. Of course this tour would not be complete without a ride down the Champs Elysees and up to the Arc de Triumph. The last part of this small journey will include the Invalids, the Concorde, the Madeleine, the Opera and the Place des Pyramids. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy on your own.

Day 4-6: Optional Day Tours
The following three days will be free for you to enjoy on your own, or join our optional tour for the day.

Day 7: Free Day
Today will be your final day in Paris and is free for you to enjoy however you may please.

Day 8: Homeward Bound
Today you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to the US.

Optional Day Tours

Day 4: Versailles & Chartres
Optional Day Tour: 8.5 hours
Begin your day today with a tour of Versailles, where you will have a guided visit to the reception area of the King and Queen's Apartments of Versailles Palace and free time in the gardens surrounding the palace. The tour of Chartres will allow you to enjoy a drive through the flat open countryside of the Beauce region, before arriving at the Cathedral of Chartres. Recognised as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the Cathedral of Chartres is still an important centre for Christian pilgrims today. Famous for its stained-glass windows and wonderful colors, dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries and known as the 'blue of Chartres'. After your guided visit of the Cathedral you will enjoy some free time to stroll around.

Day 5: Lisieux
Optional Day Tour: 10 hours
Today you will travel to Lisieux, which is the birthplace of Thérèse Martin, Doctor of the Church, who lived at the end of the 19th Century. Before her death at the age of 24, she gave France and the world a spiritual message which was so strong that pilgrims have been coming to this little town in the Pays d'Auge ever since the beginning of the 20th Century. Your first stop will be at the St. Therese Basilica, then on to the Carmelite convent-chapel before heading back to Paris for the evening.

Day 6: Paris
Optional Day Tour: 8 hours
This morning you will start your tour off with a Seine river cruise. Along the way you will pass by the main sights of Paris from the River Seine, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Invalides, Concorde Square, Ile de la Cite, and many more besides. This afternoon will take you to the Place de la Concorde, the Avenue des Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. Finally, enjoy a guided visit to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and admire the superb panoramic views over Paris before returning back to your hotel for the evening.
