Take an international flight from the U.S. to Hong Kong. Meals and snacks will be served on the plane. Movies will also be available during the flight.

Upon a late arrival in Hong Kong, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our tour guide. Hong Kong is called the “Pearl of the Orient.” Enjoy the rest of the night for leisure.

Today, you will take a guided tour of Hong Kong Island, visiting the Stanley Market, the Aberdeen Fishing Village, the bustling center of Hong Kong Island, the Blooming Bauhinia sculpture, Repulse Bay and Victoria Peak for a breathtaking view of the city and its harbor. In late afternoon, you will cruise Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor aboard a traditional Chinese sightseeing junk and enjoy an uninterrupted view of this dazzling light show for an unforgettable evening in Hong Kong. You will be transferred back to your hotel after dinner.

Today, you take an excursion to Lantau Island by 360 degree cable car, visiting Cheung Sha Beach, Tai O Fishing Village, Giant Buddha Statue, and Po Lin Monastery. You will enjoy a deluxe vegetarian lunch at Po Lin Monastery. Return to Hong Kong and enjoy a fun-filled evening at the Happy Valley Racecourse where our Hong Kong alumni will host a special social and dinner.

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai, China’s largest city (home to 16 million people). Shanghai is also China’s principal port on a deep estuary of the Yangtze River. Often regarded as the “Paris of the East,” Shanghai has retained the flavor of its past European influences. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Next you will be taken to visit Zhujiajiao, a famous water village in the near suburbs of Shanghai to experience the “old world” architecture and the traditional cultures and customs well preserved for more than 1,100 years.

The excursion today takes you to the Bund – a waterfront area that showcases many landmark buildings of western style built in the early 20th century, the bustling Nanjing Road, Chenghuangmiao Old Town, and Tianzifang, an old neighborhood with hidden alleyways full of boutiques and art galleries. You will also visit the well-known Shanghai Museum of Art and History, which ranks among the great museums of the world. For dinner you will enjoy a celebration of Shanghai cuisine, followed by a cruise on the Huangpu River to enjoy a fascinating night view of Shanghai.

Today, you transfer to Suzhou, where you will cruise on the world-famous ancient Grand Canal. With more than 2,400 years of history to experience, enjoy the unique cultures and a glimpse into the daily life of the local residents. You will also visit the silk embroidery factory, the Master of Fishing Nets Garden, and the ancient Panmen Gate, the only existing water and land gate. Take a stroll along the famous Shan Tang Street with a history of more than 1,100 years, where you can still experience the past prosperity of Suzhou and its well preserved traditional cultures. Return to Shanghai in the early evening.

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
