11 Days &  10 Nights

Day 1: International Flight 
Depart on your international flight to Sicily.

Day 2: Arrive in Palermo
Upon arrival at Palermo airport you will be met by your tour escort. You will begin your tour enroute to your hotel with a city tour of Palermo. Upon arrival at your hotel you will have the rest of the evening to relax.

Day 3: Palermo ~ Monreale
After breakfast, you will begin your trip by having a full day visit to Palermo and Monreale, including the historical center, the Cathedral, St John of Hermits and the Palatine Chapel. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Duomo and Cloister of Benedictins of Monreale. Accommodation at Hotel Politeama or similar. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight. (B,D)

Day 3: Segesta ~ Erice ~ Trapani
After breakfast this morning meet your tour escort and driver for an optional tour to the ancient temple of Segesta and the walled medieval town of Erice, lined with Norman stone houses and churches. Lunch will be served in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, proceed to Trapani and visit the salt mills. We will return back to the Hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight. (B,L)

Day 4: Cefalu ~ Solunto
Following breakfast you will have the option of having a free day or meet your tour escort and driver and depart for Cefalù, known worldwide as being the famous town of Norman origins. Our first stop will be the Duomo and then on to the Medieval Lavatory. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you will have time to walk through the streets for shopping. On the way back to Palermo, we will stop and visit the ruins of Solunto. We will arrive back to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight. (B,L)

Day 5: Palermo ~ Agrigento ~ Valley of Temples
Palermo - after breakfast, depart for Agrigento. We will meet with the local guide and visit the Valley of Temples. Free lunch on your own. In the afternoon we will take a guided visit of the historical center of Agrigento. You will have time to stroll along the main street for shopping. Back to hotel. Overnight. (B)

Day 6: Agrigento ~ Piazza Armerina ~ Syracuse
After breakfast in Hotel this morning we will depart for Piazza Armerina. We will meet with the local guide and visit Villa Romana del Casale, famous for its 3.500 square meters of well preserved mosaics. Free lunch on your own. Proceed to Caltagirone and visit this small town, famous for its ceramics. Proceed to Syracuse. Accommodation at Hotel Palace or similar. Dinner in a typical restaurant. Overnight. (B,D)

Day 7: Greek Theatre ~ Amphitheatre ~ Archeological Museum
After breakfast we will meet with the local guide and visit the archeological area of Syracuse, including the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Latomies, etc. Free lunch on your own. In the afternoon we will continue on to visit the archeological Museum and the island of Ortigia, the ancient Baroque heart of Syracuse. Back to Hotel. Overnight. (B)

Day 8: Syracuse ~ Catania ~ Taormina
Following breakfast we will depart for Catania. We will meet with the local guide start our visit with the historical center and the Cathedral. Free lunch on your own. Proceed to Taormina. Accommodation at Hotel Villa Diodoro or Similar. Overnight. (B)

Day 9: Mt. Etna ~ Greek Theater
After breakfast this morning we will begin our guided excursion to Mt Etna up until 1.800 meters. Free lunch on your own. In the afternoon we will proceed back to Taormina and visit this famous town, including the Greek Theatre. Time to walk through the tiny streets. In the evening we will have a dinner in a typical restaurant in the center of Taormina. Overnight. (B,D)

Day 10: Messina ~ Reggio Calabria
After breakfast we will meet with our tour escort and driver and depart for Messina. Embark on the ferry boat to Reggio Calabria and visit the Museum where you can see the famed Bronzi of Riace. We will come back to Messina for lunch. In the afternoon visit Messina, the town with a spectacular view on the "Stretto" (the sea that divides Sicily from the rest of Italy). Back to hotel in the late afternoon. Relax this evening at a local restaurant in Taormina for your Farewell dinner. Overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Departure Home
Taormina - after breakfast, assisted transfer to Catania airport and departure. (B)
