Agrigento, is noted for its famous Valley of the Temples. Visits include the temples of Concord, Juno,
Herakles, Olympiazeus, Castor and Pollux. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit
the famous Villa Romana del
Casale. Return to Taormina later on the evening.

Savoca & Forza D'Agro (Monday)
A pleasant half-day excursion to visit the catacombs of Cappucines in
Savoca, where more than thirty mummies are kept. Stop at the bar Vitelli where some parts of the movie the "Godfather "
had been shot in 1971. Continue to Forza d' Agrņ, where we will visit the Norman castle. Return to
Taormina.

Syracuse (Wednesday & Friday)
Visit the monumental park of Neapolis. Then move on to the greek Theatre,
Dyonisius' Ear, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Altar of Hiero.The Island of Ortigia: the Cathedral, the Fountain of Arethusa and the Temple of Apollo. After lunch
on your own, depart for Catania for an orientation tour of the city and return to Taormina along the Coast of
Cyclops (Acicastello - Acitrezza).

Etna North (Fridays)
Driving through Piedimonte and linguaglossa we with reach the "Provenzana Area",
where we will take jeeps accross lava flows up till a permitted height to admire a wonderful landscape. We will descend in time for lunch break before returning to
Taormina.

Stop on the island of Lipari, whre we will have the possibility of visiting the museum or take a stroll through the
colorful streets of the center. After touring the island and transfer to
Vulcano for some free time at leisure for lunch or for bathing in the hot sulphur waters. Return to Milazzo and then on to
Taormina.

Following the motorway Messina to Catania, we pass the Etna villages of Santa Venerina and Zafferana to a height of about 6,175 feet, where you can admire the Silvestri craters.
Conditions permitting, we will ascend up to the permitted height. Return to Taormina via Nicolosi to look at the 1983 lava flow.

We will visit the Cathedral and Benedictine Cloister in Monreale and in Palermo the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral and St. John of the Hermits. After
lunch on your own, we will have an orientation tour of the city (Liberty Avenue, Politeama Theatre, Massimo Theatre, Quattro Canti and Praetorian Fountain). We then
will return to
Taormina.

Catania "Sacred & Profane" (Wednesday)
Discover the treasures of the Catania, the elegant and understated baroque
city. The birth place of the famous opera writer Vincenzo

"fera o luni". Shop in the windows, which are full of locally
made souvenirs.

Messina & Tindari (Friday)
Before arriving at Tindari, there will be a stop in Messina in order to visit the cathedral, with is mechanical clock,
which is the largest in the world, the church of the Annunziata and Cristo Re with a shocking landscape on Messina straight.
In Tindari we will visit the black Madonna and the archaeological site.
Upon returning to Taormina, we will stop at the medieval quarter of
Milazzo.

Panarea & Stromboli (Sunday)
After an amazing view of the bay of Calajunco, stop on the island of Panarea to visit
this little village. Transfer to
Stromboli. At sunset, a maccaroni feast will take place on board before reaching the
"Sciara del fuoco", from where the volcanic eruptions can be admired. Return to Milazzo and then on to
Taormina.
