Palermo & Monreale (Saturday)
In Palermo, the capital of Sicily, you can find all the traces of the Sicilian history from Phoenicians through the Spanish domination to the Liberty style.

Included: the Norman Palace (Palatine Chapel), the Cathedral, St. John of the Hermits and then on to visit Monreale with its Cathedral and the Benedictine Cloister.

Segesta, Erice, Trapani (Sunday)
After about 45 minutes of driving you will arrive in Segesta and visit the 5th Century B.C. Doric Temple. Proceed on to Erice to visit the middle-age town extending to a height of about 800 meters. We will move on to Trapani to begin our orientation tour and stop at Trapani's salt lakes. Return to Palermo.

Etna & Taormina (Tuesday)
This morning we depart for Etna via the motorway. Along the way, we will pass through Etna villages of Santa Venerina and Zafferana Etnea to a height of about 6.175 feet. Visit the Silvestri Craters & possibly ascent by cable-car and Land-Rover to the proximity of the central crater (supplement to be paid locally) We will stop for lunch before departing to Taormina to visit the Greek Theatre. Free time for shopping in Taormina before we return to Palermo.

Agrigento, Piazza Armerina (Thursday)
Depart for Piazza Armerina and visit the Roman "Villa del Casale"" with its 3.500 square meters of well preserved mosaics. Take time for lunch, before proceeding to the Valley of the Temples. 

Included: the Temple of Juno, Concord, Heracles, Olympia-Zeus, Castor and Pollux. Return to Palermo.

Palermo Catacombs, Il Capo, Mondello (Friday Afternoon)
Your first stop will be to visit the worldwide famous Cappucins Catacombs. Continue on to visit the Church of Martorana (norman-arab style) and the famous market of "Il Capo". You then will proceed to Mondello, the most famous beach of this area and will have free time for a walk along the fishing village. Return to Palermo.

Palermo By Night (Wednesday & Friday Evening)
