The Fleet
| Millennium Ships | The brand-new Millennium Ships, MS Finnmarken and MS Trollfjord will be in service in April and May 2002. Both ships accommodate 670 passengers and they have 50% more deck space and 40% more berths than the New Ships. Suites are available, many with a balcony, and some with a Jacuzzi. In Coastal tradition these ships are floating art galleries that showcase Norwegian paintings, sculptures, and textiles. The interior of the MS Finnmarken is decorated in Art Nouveau style, while the MS Trollfjord is modern in design with extensive use of Norwegian wood, stone, and large expanses of glass. The MS Finnmarken also boasts a swimming pool and squash court, and both ships are equipped with gyms. Panoramic lounges are located on the top decks with several restaurants, cafes, and bars. |

New Ships
MS Kong Harald |
The six New Ships were built between 1993 and 1997 to meet cruise standards, and accommodate approximately 490 passengers each. Cabins are appointed with two lower berths, bathrooms with hair dryers and heated floors, a writing desk, and closet. The ships are stabilized and have elevators and cabins that are wheelchair-accessible. The spacious public areas are filled with works by Norwegian artists. Each ship features a large, glass-enclosed panoramic lounge, which is perfect for viewing the passing scenery, as well as smoking and non-smoking lounges. In addition, all have conference rooms, a small fitness room, saunas, and a self-service laundry room. |
| Mid-Generation Ships | The three Mid-Generation Ships were built in the early 1980s and refurbished in 1995. Each accommodates approximately 320 cruise passengers. Cabins are a mix of two lower berths and upper/lower berths. All have private facilities, some with hair dryers. There are elevators on each ship, as well as a cabin that is wheelchair-accessible. In addition, all ships are equipped with conference rooms, a glass-enclosed panoramic lounge, smoking and non-smoking lounges, and a self-service laundry room. |
| Traditional Ships | Reminiscent of classic steamer vessels, the two Traditional Ships in the fleet were built in the early 1960s and refurbished in 1985. They are the most intimate of the Norwegian Coastal vessels, accommodating approximately 200 cruise passengers each. The majority of cabins have upper/lower berths, about half with private facilities. There is a smoking and non-smoking lounge on each ship. |
