for the start of your tour by coach of the Land of the Midnight Sun.
Drive past Lake Inari
, sacred lake of the Finnish
Lapps with more than 3.000 small islands and cross the Norwegian
border at Karigasniemi to arrive in the town of
Karasjok
.
Scenic tour along the Road of the Reindeer to Lakselv.
Your tour continues through a mountainous landscape to arrive
in the early evening in
Hammerfest
,
the northernmost town in the world.

Day 13:
HAMMERFEST
– HONNINGSVÅG

NORTH CAPE
This
morning you will be taken on a 3 hours guided tour of Hammerfest, including a
visit to the Museum
of Post-War
Reconstruction.
Other sights include the Hammerfest
Church
with its unique
architecture, the Meridian Column erected in 1854 to commemorate the
first international measurement of the Earth’s circumference, the
Fuglenes Fortification constructed in 1810 during the Napoleonic
War, and the Music Pavillion. Highlight
of the tour is a visit to the Polar Bear clubhouse, where you will
be made a lifelong member of The Royal and Ancient Polar Bear
Society. Lunch at hotel.
Afternoon departure from Hammerfest
and drive to
Honningsvåg on the island
of Magerøy.
Dinner and
accommodation at Rica Hotel Honningsvåg.
After dinner you will be taken by coach (approx. 45 minutes drive) to the
North Cape
plateau.
During the months of June and July you can see the
Midnight Sun illuminating the expanse of the Arctic Ocean
– a marvelous
spectacle of changing colors. At the nearby North Cape Hall you will celebrate your
reaching the northernmost point in Europe
with caviar and
champagne. You will also
receive a colorful certificate to commemorate the occasion.
Return by coach to hotel at approx. 1 am.

14: HONNINGSVÅG –
IVALO – HELSINKI
Enjoy your buffet breakfast before coach departs from Honningsvåg for
the return journey to Ivalo, driving along the beautiful Porsanger
Fjord with its miles of unspoilt nature.
This is a land of tundra, where reindeer roam wild and the
stillness is only broken by the call of some rare bird.
This is the heart of Lapland
, one of the last
great natural reserves in the world. At midday
you will arrive
in the town of Karasjok
, the cultural
and political capital of the Norwegian Lapps.
Lunch at Rica Hotel
Karasjok. Time to
visit this interesting town, often frequented by Lapps in their
colourful costumes, before continuing the journey south back to
Ivalo. Evening flight on Finnair to Helsinki.
Arrival in Helsinki, followed by
coach transfer to hotel. Dinner and accommodation at the Hilton Helsinki Strand.

the tour to Moscow

Coach transfer from airport to your hotel, centrally located
in the Russian capital, about 10 minutes walk from the Kremlin. .
Moscow
was founded in the
12th century, built as a wooden fortress on the banks of the Moscow
River
to keep out barbarian invaders from the east.
Today it is a modern city with wide boulevards and green
parks, yet proudly preserving its historic monuments and impressive
buildings from previous eras.

16: MOSCOW
Morning tour of the
Kremlin and Armory
Museum
with local English-speaking guide. This
tour lasting approx. 3 hours has to be done on foot as no coaches
are allowed inside the area. The
Kremlin, which was the home not only of the Tsars but also of Lenin
and Stalin, is surrounded by 7 meters thick walls and covers an area
of 29 acres. You will
pass by the Lenin Mausoleum and the grave of the unknown soldier,
where brides still leave their wedding bouquets, to visit the Coronation
Church
of the Tsars, and the famous Vasilij Cathedral.
The Armory
Museum
contains the largest collection in the world of crown jewels and
coronation robes, including the wedding dress of Catherine the Great
and the famous189 carat Olov diamond.
You will also see the golden horse-drawn carriages of all the
Tsars and other treasures. Lunch
at a nearby restaurant. Afternoon
free for shopping or optional visits.
In the evening you will be taken to another spectacular show,
with dancers from different parts of
Russia,

After breakfast, approx. 4 hours panorama tour of the city by coach with

largest entertainments park), the Red Square the State University of
Moscow, and numerous other famous sights.
