Day 1:
Depart for Warsaw
Overnight flight to Warsaw.
Day 2: Arrive in Warsaw
Arrival and transfer to the Novotel Centrum Hotel. Afternoon and lunch at your leisure. Meet your tour guide at 6:00 PM in the hotel lobby for the kick-off dinner with folklore show at local restaurant. (D)
Day 3: Warsaw City Tour & Lazienki Park
Half-day tour of Warsaw and its marvelously reconstructed Old Town quarter. Visit Market Square, the Barbican, medieval defense walls, and the Jewish Ghetto Memorial dedicated to the thousands of lives taken by the Nazis. Drive to the lush grounds of Lazienki Park. Departure after lunch for overnight stay in Krakow.

Day 4: Wawel Castle, Market Square, Cloth Hall & Wieliczka Salt
Mine
Morning sightseeing of this beautiful city includes: Wawel Castle, Market Square, Cloth Hall, and St. Mary's Church, home to Wit Stwosz's masterpiece altar. After lunch we take off for the 700-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine, famous for its crystalline caves and underground chapels adorned with statues sculptured from salt.

Day 5: Auschwitz Martyrdom Museum
After breakfast we visit the Martyrdom Museum at Auschwitz, site of the dreadful Nazi death camp. Afternoon free for private exploration and shopping in Krakow.

Day 6: Zakopane & Tatra Mountains
Departure for the pure air and stunning views of Zakopane, high up in the Tatra Mountains. This sports and resort town is also inhabited by authentic Highlanders, keepers of the town's charming wooden architecture and living folklore. After sightseeing, dinner and folklore entertainment at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Czestochowa
Morning is free, followed by a scenic drive toward Czestochowa, Poland's spiritual capital and center of pilgrimage.

Day 8: Jasna Gora Monastery, Zelazowa Wola
Tour of Jasna Gora Monastery, home to Poland's holiest icon, the world-famous portrait of the Black Madonna. Afternoon departure for the capital. En route to Warsaw, you will visit Zelazowa Wola, the charming country manor where the renowned Polish composer, Frederick Chopin was born. Overnight inn Warsaw.

Day 9: Wilanow Palace
Half-day visit to Wilanow Palace, splendid former residence of King Jan III Sobieski. Afternoon free. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 10: Departure Home
After breakfast, transfer to Okecie Airport for your homeward flight to America.
