Day 1: Depart for Warsaw
Overnight departure to Warsaw, Poland's thriving capital. 

Day 2: Arrive in Warsaw
You'll be met at the airport and transferred to the Novotel Centrum Hotel. The whole day is yours to enjoy by relaxing or exploring the city. Meet with your guide in the lobby at 6:00 p.m. for the official kick-off dinner, highlighted by local folk entertainment. (D)

Day 3: Warsaw City Tour
Highlights of your city tour of Warsaw include the beautiful Old-Town quarter, Old Market Square, the Barbican and medieval defense walls, Lazienki Park and the magnificently rebuilt Royal Castle. Lunch at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 4:
Warsaw, Czestochowa, Krakow
On the way to Krakowvia Zelazowa Wola, you visit the monastery fortress of Jasna Gora, Poland's national shrine and home to the Black Madonna, a sacred icon that attracts pilgrims from all over the world. Lunch, overnight in Krakow. (B,L)

Day 5:
Wawel Castle, Wieliczka Salt Mine
Krakow has over 1,000 buildings and monuments of historical and architectural interest. Your tour includes Wawel Castle and its Gothic cathedral, Royal Chambers and striking Arras tapestries. In the afternoon, excursion to Wieliczka Salt Mine, an unforgettable 3-mile-long underground walk through chambers, caves, and chapels adorned with statues sculpted from salt. (B,D)

Day 6:
Krakow, Auschwitz, Wroclaw
Departure to Wroclaw via Oswiecim to visit the infamous former Nazi concentration camp. Lunch en route with a short stop in Opole. Overnight in Wroclaw. (B,L)

Day 7: Wroclaw
Among the sites featured in this medieval city are the 13th century Town Hall, Gothic cathedral and the striking diorama which depicts the Battle of Raclawice. (B,D)

Day 8: Kornik & Trzebnica
Morning departure for Poznan. Stop at Kornik, the 19th century castle designed with a fascinating combination of Gothic and Oriental influences, and at Trzebnica to visit the Gothic St. Jadwiga Basilica. Overnight in Poznan. (B,D)

Day 9: Poznan, Miedzyzdroje
Your morning city tour of Poznan takes in many Baroque churches, an Italianate-style Town Hall and its elegant, bustling Market Square. Afternoon departure for Miedzyzdroje. Overnight in Miedzyzdroje. (B,D)

Day 10: Wolin Island, Miedzyzdroje
Tour through Wolin Island - strict Nature Reservation. Overnight in Miedzyzdroje. (B,D)

Day 11: Gdynia
Morning depart for Gdynia. Stop at Kamien Pomorski. Dinner and overnight in Gdynia. (B,D)

Day 12: Sopot & Gdansk
Today you'll be exploring Poland's heralded "tri-city complex" by starting with Gdynia, a major seaport with beautiful beaches and continuing to the Old World resort pleasures of nearby Sopot. Gdansk, the oldest of the three, is a magnificently restored Hanseatic port city. Its glorious Town Hall, gilt-edged Neptune's Fountain, Gothic churches, romantic cobblestone alleys and breezy harbor promenades are among the highlights. You'll see them all and listen to a recital of the world-famous organ in Oliwa on your tour today. Overnight in Gdynia. (B,D)

Day 13: Westerplatte
Excursion to Westerplatte by boat. Afternoon free. (B,D)

Day 14:
Vistula River, Malbork, Warsaw
Following the Vistula River, the trip back to Warsaw leads you through Malbork, home of the mighty fortress and former seat of the once-powerful Teutonic Knights. Overnight in Warsaw. (B,L)

Day 15: Depart Warsaw for Home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight back home. (B)
