Paris City Of Lights Tour

Day 1: Depart USA For Paris, France
Overnight flight with in-flight meals.

Day 2: Paris
Upon arrival we are met by our guide and transferred to our hotel. En route, we'll be given a brief orientation of this spectacular city. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant

Day 3: Paris Sightseeing
Following breakfast, our group is joined by an English speaking guide for a full day of guided sightseeing. Our motor coach will drive along the fashionable Champs Elysees Avenue. Enjoy the elegant areas of Place de la Concorde, Arche of Triumph, Foch Avenue, Garnier Opera, St. Honore Street (home of the President and famous fashion designers), Vendome Plaza, where the most prestigious jewelers are represented. Breakfast and Dinner included.

Day 4: The Louvre & Eiffel Tower
This morning presents the opportunity to discover the world famous Louvre Museum. We'll have a look at the glass pyramid and stroll the Tuileries Garden. This afternoon we'll ascend to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower for a panoramic view of the Palais de Chaillot and its fountains. This afternoon we'll see the city via a one hour Seine River cruise. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel

Day 5: Versailles
The highlight of our day is a visit to the lavish Palace of Versailles with it's elaborate apartments and imposing Hall of Mirrors. Our tour of the palace grounds includes a walk through the lovely gardens with it's numerous fountains. We'll return to Paris in time for some afternoon shopping, a visit to one of the many art museums or relaxing at an outdoor cafe. Tonight you may want to visit one of the piano restaurants and sing "a la francaise".

Day 6: Giverny & Rouen
We travel today to the home of Claude Monet in Giverny. We'll stroll the gardens which were the inspiration for many of Monet's works. Afterwards it's off to Rouen where we'll see the famous sites relating to Joan of Arc, the pedestrian "Gros Horloge" street and Rouen's cathedral. We return to Paris for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 7: Free Day In Paris
Today will be a day of leisure, for you to explore this wonderful city on your own. There is no shortage of things to do in Paris and there is something for everyone from art to shopping. A trip to Paris is not complete without seeing the stately cathedral of Notre Dame. A little known jewel of the city is Ste. Chapelle, which has the oldest stained glass windows in Paris (definitely a must see). The Latin Quarter of the city is home to artists, writers and students from the Sorbonne. You can get a birds eye view of the entire city on the funicular at La Butte Montmarte. The Sacre Coeur Basilica, flower market and antique stores are other attractions not to be missed.

Day 8: Homeward Bound
We transfer to the airport in time to catch our flight back home.
