Departures March - November

Day 1: Departure
Our flight takes off this evening as we begin our travel to our Parisian adventure.

Day 2: Arrival, Free Time
Arrive in the morning and transfer to our hotel with an orientation tour of Paris "en Route." After a full night of travel it is time to check in, freshen up, relax, or explore on our own. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.

Day 3: Tour of Paris
After breakfast, join our English-speaking guide for a full day of guided touring. Drive on Champs Elysées Avenue, called "the most beautiful avenue of the world." Enjoy the elegant areas of Place de la Concorde, Arch of Triumph, Foch Avenue, Garnier Opera, St. Honoré Street (home of the President and of the most famous fashion designers), Vendôme Plaza (where the most prestigious jewelers are represented). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Le Louvre, Eiffel Tower
This morning we will have the opportunity to discover the most fascinating part of the Louvre Museum (entrance included). Take a look at the spectacular glass pyramid and stroll in Tuileries Garden. This afternoon two other highlights of Paris will be discovered. We will climb the Eiffel Tower up to the 2nd floor, and we will admire Palais de Chaillot and its spectacular fountains. Afterwards, we'll discover Paris on a one hour Seine River Cruise. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5: Versailles
This morning we will tour Versailles Palace. We will be impressed by the sumptuous architecture, the impressive Hall of Mirrors and the many reception rooms. For the remainder of the tour we will visit the gardens and the many fountains. We will return to Paris mid-afternoon with time to relax or time to visit museums such as "Orsay Museum," now Museum of Impressionism, Grévin or Picasso Museums.

Day 6: Giverny & Rouen
Today we travel to Giverny where we'll visit the home of Claude Monet, as well as the gardens which were the inspiration for his paintings (closed until April). Continue to Rouen, and see the sights related to Joan of Arc, the pedestrian "Gros Horloge" street, and Rouen's cathedral. Back to Paris for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Free Day in Paris
Today will be a day of leisure. Perhaps a visit to the historic Marais district, popular for its mansions and palaces or enjoy the trendy environment of Place de la Bastille with its new Opera House, its many neighboring museums, art galleries and antique stores. Enjoy different exhibits in the stunning Center Georges Pompidou, or St. Germain and the Latin Quarter (home of artists, writers, and students from the Sorbonne University). Perhaps "La Butte Montmartre" will get your attention. This hill, located in the north of the city, is the best spot to view the entire city, and is well known for the Sacré Coeur Basilica. Have your portrait drawn by one of the many artists of La Place du Tertre or enjoy a visit to a vineyard, the many little shops, or the piano restaurants where you will sing "à la française." Dinner at hotel.

Day 8: Homeward
We transfer to the airport, in time to catch our flight back home. Those who are joining the option to Southern France will board their motorcoach for a transfer through the French countryside to Aix-en-Provence.
