DAY 1: ARRIVE SARAJEVO, THURSDAY
We will meet you
at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The balance of the day

DAY 2: IN SARAJEVO, FRIDAY
Half day of sightseeing will
present dramatic sites of the city that survived three years of siege
and struggle, as well as picturesque Turkish bazaar "Bas Carsija", the
Husref Bays Mosque and Olympic stadium. (B,D,O)
DAY 3: TO DUBROVNIK, SATURDAY
Drive through
the marvelous gorge of Neretva River towards Mostar, where we will see
remains of the Turkish quarter and remains of destroyed 16th century
single arch stone bridge built by the Turks. Dinner and overnight in

DAY 4: IN DUBROVNIK, SUNDAY
Morning walking tour of "Old
Dubrovnik". We will visit the Franciscan Monastery, housing one of the
world's oldest pharmacies; the old harbor; St. Laurence Fortress, the
Sponza and Rector's Palaces; and other points of interest in this best
preserved European walled city. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,D,O)
DAY 5: TO SPLIT, MONDAY
This morning we depart Dubrovnik and
travel northbound along the spectacular Adriatic coast, past old
fishing villages and new resorts, to Split. A sightseeing tour
provides a look at this city's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and
Gothic structures, and its contemporary attractions. 227 km (B,D,O)
DAY 6: TO TROGIR, ZADAR AND PLITVICE LAKES, TUESDAY
After
breakfast, we head north along the coast to Trogir, a center of
artistic activities. Then it is on to Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on
the Adriatic coast, once a famed cultural center. We pause here for an
orientation tour that includes the ruins of the Roman Forum, the
Cathedral and St. Donat Church. Our journey continues as we turn
inland and proceed to beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park. 317 km (B,D,O)
DAY 7: IN PLITVICE LAKES, WEDNESDAY
A full day to enjoy the
breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes,
surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. In the
morning, there's a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. The

DAY 8: TO OPATIJA, POSTOJNA AND BLED, THURSDAY
We return to
the coast to the beautiful bay of Kvarner and its popular resort,
Opatija. Then we head north to Postojna, home of the second largest
caves in Europe. Here we tour this fantastic subterranean world by
miniature electric train. Afterwards, our journey continues to Lake
Bled, beautifully situated in the Julian Alps. 352 km (B,D,O)
DAY 9: IN BLED, FRIDAY
Our morning sightseeing tour of this
lake resort features the town of Bled with the lakeshore, and includes
a visit to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake.
Balance of the day at leisure for optional activities, such as
visiting the old church with a collection of religious art on a small

DAY 10: TO LJUBLJANA AND ZAGREB, SATURDAY
Our last day of
the tour begins with a visit to the open air market, the City Hall,
Robba's Fountain, the Three Bridges and the Parliament in Ljubljana,
the capital of Slovenia. Then on to Zagreb, the capital city of
