Day 1 •  Depart USA for Beijing
We depart Chicago today for an overnight flight to Beijing. We will enjoy various meals and movies while in flight.

Day 2 •  Arrive in Beijing
Upon our arrival in Beijing we will be met by a Pilgrim Tours escort and enjoy a private motor coach transfer to the four star Holiday Inn Hotel located in downtown Beijing. The remainder of the evening will be at leisure.

Day 3 •  Beijing Touring
After breakfast we begin a highlight tour of Beijing including a guided tour of the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace) and time for pictures in famous Tiananmen Square. Later this afternoon we will visit the delicately crafted Temple of Heaven, where the emperors prayed for good harvest. Afternoon Concert

Day 4 •  Great Wall and Ming Tombs Touring
The highlight of our tour today will be the Great Wall of China with plenty of time to explore this massive structure. The Great Wall is the only man-made structure visible from the moon. We will enjoy stories from our guide relating to the construction of the wall and offer insight about the Chinese history. Following lunch we continue to the Ming Tombs, the burial site of 13 Ming emperors. 

Day 5 •  Beijing Touring
Our morning highlight will include a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of the Hutong community. We then will visit to a local home to learn of the daily activities in the life of a Chinese family. The tour will conclude with a visit to a Chinese Kindergarten Class where we see how Chinese children are taught and have the opportunity to give a personal gift to the children.  Afternoon Concert

Day 6 •  Free Day in Beijing
Today will be free to shop and explore the famous city of Beijing.  Consider an optional tour to the Summer Palace where we admire graceful pavilions and gardens before boarding a dragon boat for a lakeside cruise that promises magical views of the Palace grounds.  An optional acrobatic show will also be available this evening.

Day 7 •  Free Day in Beijing / Special Farewell Dinner
You are free to shop and explore Beijing on your own or you may choose an optional tour to see the famous pandas at the Beijing Zoo and a visit to the Children's Palace.  We will meet this evening as a group for a special Peking Duck Banquet. 

Day 8 •  Return Home
After breakfast we will be transferred to the Beijing airport for our return flight to the US.
