10 Day Tour (May - October)

Day 1 - Departure from USA
Late this afternoon, we depart from O'Hare Airport for an overnight flight to Munich. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

Day 2 - Arrival in Munich
Upon arrival in Munich, we will be met by our guide and enjoy a private deluxe air conditioned coach transfer to Salzburg. Upon our arrival in Salzburg we will check into our hotel before enjoying a special welcome dinner as a group.

Day 3 - Salzburg Touring
After breakfast, we will enjoy a half day guided tour of Salzburg to include a visit to Mirabell Gardens, St. Peter’s Abbey and the Salzburg Cathedral. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our touring this afternoon. Our afternoon touring will include a guided tour of Hellbrunn Watergames and Castle. We will have the remainder of the day free for our leisure to explore Salzburg on our own. (practice time today)

Day 4 - Salzburg area
After breakfast we will enjoy a guided tour of the Duerrnberg Salt Mine in Hallein. The Salt Mine of Duerrnberg brought wealth and prosperity to Salzburg during the Celt times. We will dress in a traditional miners uniform as we explore the mine. After the salt mine, we will take time to visit several popular sights from the Sound of Music before returning to Salzburg for the remainder of the day at leisure. (competition scheduled today)

Day 5 - Salzburg to Prague
After breakfast, we will depart Salzburg on our private air conditioned deluxe motorcoach and travel to Prague. On our way to Prague we will stop at the Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memorial for some time to view the memorial. We will also stop at Cesky Krumlov for time to explore on our own. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before finishing our transfer to Prague this afternoon. Upon our arrival in Prague, we will have the remainder of the day free for our leisure. Day 6 - Prague Touring
Following breakfast, we will enjoy a half day tour of Prague. Our tour will include visits to Prague Castle, B Circle, The Jewish Town, Cemetery, Museum and Synagogue. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and the afternoon will be free for our leisure. (competition scheduled today)

Day 7 - Prague
After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day trip to Karlovy Vary. Karlovy Vary is famous and widely known for its 600 year old health resort, china and glass shops. This will be a restful day in which we will enjoy a sampling of the thermal springs before having the remainder of the day free to enjoy the resort and shop on our own. We will return to Prague late this afternoon.

Day 8 - Prague to Berlin
After breakfast, we will board our motorcoach and begin our travel to Berlin. We will make a stop in Dresden at the VW Factory for a guided tour of the assembly plant. We will enjoy lunch in Dresden at a local restaurant before finishing our travel to Berlin. Upon our arrival in Berlin the remainder of the day will be free for our leisure.

Day 9 - Berlin Touring
Following breakfast, we will enjoy a tour of Berlin. Our tour will include stops at the Brandenberg Gate, the Olympic Stadium, Reichstag and the Roof Terrace with Glass Cupola. Our afternoon will consist of visits to Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall Museum. The remainder of our day will be free for our leisure to explore and shop Berlin on our own.

Day 10 - Berlin Touring
After breakfast, we will take a morning excursion to Potsdam and will include a guided tour of Sanssouci as well as a scenic cruise. We will return to Berlin for the remainder of the afternoon free for our leisure before meeting together this evening for a special farewell dinner.

Day 10 - Return Home
After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Berlin airport for our return flight to Chicago.
