Day 1: Africa
Depart JFK in the evening on a direct South African Airways flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2: Windhoek
Arrive Johannesburg in the afternoon and make a connection to Windhoek, Namibia. Overnight in Windhoek.

Day 3: Karibib & Moon Valley
After breakfast, depart Windhoek via the villages of Karibib and Usakos to Swakopmund wedged between the dunes of the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean. En route visit the ancient Welwitschia plants and the Moon Valley in the central Namib Desert.

Day 4: Swakopmund
Today you have the whole day at leisure to explore the town of Swakopmund on your own. Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 5: Cape Cross Seal Reserve
After breakfast you'll head north along the coast to the Cape Cross Seal Reserve and spend some time sightseeing at the Diaz Cross. After a brief stop in Henties Bay for lunch, you'll head to the scenic Damaraland. 

Day 6: the Burnt Mountain & the Petrified Forest
Most of today is dedicated to visiting Twyfelfontein, the Burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest. Later you'll proceed to the beautiful area of Outjo.

Day 7: Etosha National Park
Today you'll continue towards the Etosha National Park, where the remainder of the day is spent on game drives, only interrupted by lunch and a mid-day break at one of the rest camps. Overnight at rest camp in Etosha. 

Day 8: Otjiwarongo
After breakfast, there will be time to enjoy more game viewing before you depart from the park around mid-afternoon. From Namutoni, you will travel south via Tsumeb to the Otavi/Otjiwarongo area for your overnight.

Day 9: Ombo Ostrich Farm
You'll begin the morning by traveling south and reaching the Ombo Ostrich Farm near Okahandja in time for a sightseeing tour. In the afternoon you'll be transferred back to Windhoek. The rest of the afternoon / evening is at your leisure. 

Day 10: Windhoek
Today you will board your South African Airways flight back to Johannesburg and then connect onto JFK.

Day 11: Home
Arrive back in the US in the early morning.
