Depart Windhoek and travel to the dunes of
the Namib Desert and the Moon Valley stopping to explore the historic
town of Swakopmund. Continue north along the Atlantic coast to Cape
Cross Seal Reserve, scenic Damaraland, the Burnt Mountain and Petrified
Forest. Before heading back to Windhoek, there are games drives at
Etosha National Park and a tour of Ombo Ostrich Farm in Okahandja. |

Depart sophisticated Cape Town via
scenic Sir Lowry's Pass and Huis Rivier Pass to the semi desert area of
Klein Karoo to arrive in Oudshoorn - the "ostrich capital".
Stop and see the Cango Caves, a Cheetah and Crocodile ranch, an Ostrich
Farm, Mossel Bay and Tsitsikamma National Park. Visit South African
nationals in a rural township while eating lunch with a local family.
Afterwards tour a local kindergarten and see first hand community self
help projects. After crossing the Kei River tour Nelson Mandela's home
village of Qunu and learn about the traditions of the Xhosa. Before
ending up in festive Durban, visit the Oribi Gorge for a view of the
falls.
