Depart the U.S. on our transatlantic flight to Johannesburg, South
Africa.
Day 2 - Johannesburg
We arrive in vibrant Johannesburg, a former gold rush town in the days
of old, and are transported to our luxurious hotel in the lovely
district of Sandton. The afternoon and evening are free for you to
explore this city of vibrancy and refined charm. Why not visit the
upscale Sandton City shopping center and enjoy dinner in the open
square?
Overnight Balalaika Hotel in Sandton.
Day 3 - Mpumalanga
After a delicious breakfast, we're off to the African bush of Mpumalanga
and Kruger National Park. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of
the South Africa Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million
hectares is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms. Enter a world
of suspended timber walkways threading through indigenous forests and
alive with birdsong. Experience the true chorus of Africa - the grunt of
a hippo, the bark of a baboon, or the laugh of a hyena. Luxury
air-conditioned accommodations will make us feel like part of the bush
as we dine under the stars in African style (included).
Overnight at Protea Hotel Kruger Gate Lodge.
Day 4 - Safari at Kruger Game Park
This morning we'll enjoy our breakfast packs en-route as we embark on
our early morning game drive in open safari vehicles. We'll have a full
day to savor this truly African experience. Kruger Park, home to more
than 140 species of mammals - all indigenous to the lands of South
Africa, also reflects man's interaction with the bushveld. Treasures
like the bushmen rock paintings and majestic archaeological sites like
Masorini and Thulamela, represent the cultures, persons, and events that
all played a role in the history and creation of Kruger National Park.
Overnight at Protea Hotel Kruger Gate Lodge.
Day 5 – Johannesburg
After an early morning game drive and breakfast in Kruger Park, we’ll
head back to Johannesburg. Traveling
via the scenic route of Hazyview, Long Tom Pass, Lydenburg, and
Dullstrom, you’ll arrive back in Johannesburg around 7pm.
The evening is at your leisure.
Overnight at Balalaika Hotel in
Sandton.
Day
6 – Cape Town
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to the airport for your direct
fight to South Africa's oldest city, Cape Town.
Surrounded by picturesque mountains and powerful seas, Cape Town
marks the point where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Upon your
late morning arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check in
and some quick freshening up. Then
its off for an afternoon tour of the Cape Winelands which will give you
an inside look at South Africa’s historic wine farms. After an

premier waterfront complex.

the indigenous flora and fauna. From the Cape Point, we'll behold
breathtaking views of the Cape of Good Hope and False Bay. Next, we'll
continue to darling Simons Town and Boulders Beach to visit a charming
penguin colony. After lunch,
we continue along the coast to the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical
Gardens with a return to our hotel in late afternoon. Overnight at the Waterfront Holiday Inn.
Day 8 - Cultural
Tour and Table Mountain
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning township/cultural tour of
Cape Town. This tour gives
insight into the past of South Africa as well as focusing on post 1994
progress. You’ll visit
some of the projects that are helping disadvantaged communities grow and
become more prosperous. You’ll
understand the “other” side of Cape Town better and learn more about
job creation via community-based initiatives.
This afternoon we’ll switch gears and enjoy the breath taking scenery
of Cape Town’s beloved landmark, Table Mountain.
This afternoon tour will take you directly to the top of the
mountain via the cableway while your guide explains the passing
varieties of flora and
fauna. Atop the mountain
you’ll be given some free time to roam about this majestic treasure.
After the mountain, you’ll be taken on a city tour which
