Dr. David
Livingstone the pioneer missionary opened the Africa to the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. His journeys and exploration into
the African interior opened Africa to the world. This
rather ordinary man impacted the African continent in an
extraordinary way. He brought Jesus to every tribe he met
and left a road map for missionaries who would follow.
In 1854 Dr. Livingstone first set eyes
on spectacular
Victoria Falls saying, "a scene so lovely it must have been
gazed upon by angels in their flight." David Livingstone loved Africa, and loved Zambia the most, asking
that his heart be buried there.

Day 1: Depart USA
Depart US Wednesday morning via SAA.
Day 2: Johannesburg
We arrive in Johannesburg and enjoy a brief driving tour of the city
before checking into our hotel for the evening.
Day 3: Zambia
Depart Johannesburg for Livingstone, Zambia with a mid-day arrival. Check into
our lodge with free time, dinner and a briefing on
Zimbabwe, Zambia and the schedule of activities.
Day 4: Victoria Falls, Livingstone Museum
We begin the day with a visit to
Victoria Falls/Mosi-oa-Tunya, on the Zambezi River. It's
unusual form and diverse wildlife make for a memorable experience.
Venture into the city for a visit to the David Livingstone Museum, which
is devoted to archaeology, ethnography and history. It contains a
magnificent collection of memorabilia. Time will be allowed for
free time and shopping prior to the evening dinner with lecture on the
life of David Livingstone.
Day 5: David Livingstone Church
Today we have
Sunday worship service at the David Livingstone Church, followed by a tour
of the church. School Ministry activities during the afternoon.
Day 6: Zimbabwe, Elephant Back Safari
Today we travel to Zimbabwe and check into our lodge. Upon
checking in, enjoy an Elephant Back Safari - an experience that you will
never forget. Ride, learn about and interact with these majestic
creatures. Meet Lundi, Tatu, Moka and others in their natural
surroundings of the game-rich Nakavango Estate.
Day 7: Zimbabwe
Ministry activities during the morning, followed by
Jetboat to base of falls. Where else can you find yourself in a
specially designed high speed jet boat, travel through a uniquely formed
gorge which is a world heritage site, power up some of the most famous
white water rapids in the world, pass beneath a bridge of great
historical & engineering value, and then find yourself at the foot of
the most spectacular of the seven natural wonders of the world? This is
the the worlds greatest jet boat adventure. Our adventure this
evening will be a Night Game
Drive and special Bush Dinner.
Day 8: Botswana
Day trip to Botswana for Safari in Chobe National Park,
unquestionably the
most spectacular and diverse of Botswana's areas. Home to huge
herds of Elephant, Buffalo, and Burchell's Zebra and high densities of
predators such as Lion, Leopard, Spotted Hyena and Cheetah. The park is
also notable for the presence of more unusual antelope species like Roan
and Sable, Puku, Tsessebe, Eland, Red Lechwe, Waterbuck, and the rare
Chobe Bushbuck. Other more popular species such as Giraffe, Kudu,
Warthog, Wildebeest and Impala also abound. Chobe also has
an amazing variety of habitats, ranging from floodplains, baobab, and
mopane trees and acacia woodlands, to verdant flood grasslands and
thickets bordering the Chobe River. Over and above the elephants, the
Chobe National Park has an amazing variety of game, and many brilliantly
colored birds. This evening we enjoy an authentic Boma African
Dinner.
Day 9: Zimbabwe
Ministry activities during the morning. The afternoon is free for
shopping and sightseeing on your own. Following dinner this evening we experience a
spectacular sunset Zambezi
River Cruise.
Day 10: Departure
Departure from Zimbabwe for a connection back to the USA.
Day 11: Home
Arrive USA Saturday morning.
Ministry Activities:
Bible distribution and visitation to remote villages, orphans,
hospitals, schools, elderly institutions.
Relief supply distribution of food, clothing, mosquito nets purchased in
the USA and waiting for distribution.
